HOW IT WORKS

How MyPennLawyer Works

Summary:

To become a client of MyPennLawyer, you simply register, decide which legal documents you need, and answer a series of informational questions.  An attorney then reviews the information that you have provided and creates the legal document for an agreed upon price. Through an exchange of information and documents, the services you have purchased are provided to you through your account here on a confidential and secure website.  At any time you can ask the attorney questions.

The 5 Simple Steps

STEP 1:

Register and create your own confidential and secure “My Legal Affairs” account, and log into that account.  There is no cost to register.

Once you have registered, we will do a conflict of interests check to make sure that we can legally represent you.  In most situations, you must be a Pennsylvania resident or have a legal matter within the jurisdiction of Pennsylvania in order to use our services.  As part of the registration process you will be required to accept our Limited Retainer Agreement.

STEP 2:

Purchase the services that you desire for an agreed upon, fair price. Your purchase is made via either credit or debit card and is completely private and secure.

STEP 3:

You provide the information necessary for MyPennLawyer to properly provide the professional legal services you have purchased. You will generally communicate this information using some combination of a user friendly questionnaire, documents, and messaging via your My Legal Affairs account. The messaging system is similar to – but more secure than – the use of email. This written exchange of information helps to reduce any miscommunications and provides a handy record of important information.

STEP 4:

A licensed attorney reviews and analyzes the information you provide. If necessary, additional communications between you and the attorney take place so that MyPennLawyer can properly advise you and provide the services you have purchased.  You can ask your MyPennLawyer attorney questions about your legal needs in the secure client area, by e-mail or by phone.

STEP 5:

The attorney finalizes the purchased services and provides them via your secure and confidential My Legal Affairs account. You have ongoing access to the documents and information in your account.  In addition, if you request, hard copies of your purchased documents can be mailed to you.
